Nominate an Executive
We encourage seasoned healthcare executives and current board members to nominate rising women executives with healthcare company or healthcare non-profit expertise for participation in the Grow to Govern board readiness program, held every spring in New York City. Participation is free for accepted individuals.
Each nomination is carefully evaluated. We do not accept self-nominations.
Why join Grow to Govern?
Participation is free for accepted individuals.
Actionable educational content
Grow to Govern’s programming focuses equally on governance training and professional positioning. Our participants gain valuable insights into how boards work, which best practices inform high-functioning boards, and how board service differs from executive leadership.
Participants are also coached on how to assess their individual value proposition, position their own skill set, and seek out and ultimately evaluate board opportunities.
Professional network of peers
Grow to Govern recognizes that helping women expand their professional networks can play an important role in amplifying board opportunities.
Our programming intentionally connects women via annual 40-60 person cohorts, which motivate and support relationship building while at the same time facilitating important business connections through the program’s singular focus on healthcare executives.
In-person and virtual events
Grow to Govern’s primary program offering is an annual, in-person, day-and-a-half event in NYC each spring.
Additional smaller-group gatherings, virtual events, and invitations to Cure programming augment this signature experience.
Potential connections to open board seats
Grow to Govern aims to connect its accomplished alumnae with investors who influence board composition, as well as to targeted board opportunities. The issue is not a lack of qualified women leaders, but a gap in the channels that link talent to demand.
